1) Who we are & scope

This Policy applies to data handled by Abridged Inc., Makers of Collab.Land ("Collab.Land," "we," "us," or "our") and its affiliates when you use:

  • Token gating and verification tools in Telegram and Discord
  • SmartTag (optional)
  • The Command Center Miniapp Marketplace (curated; no public listings)
  • Our websites and dashboards (for example, collab.land and Command Center)

Roles (who decides what happens to the data)

  • Controller / Business. When we operate our own properties (sites and dashboards), handle billing, security, abuse prevention, or conduct product analytics, we act as a controller under EU and UK law and as a business under U.S. state privacy laws.
  • Processor / Service Provider. When a community uses Collab.Land to verify members inside its Telegram or Discord server, the community admin is the controller or business and we act as their processor or service provider, processing verification data on their instructions. For requests about that verification data, please contact the community admin first. We support them in responding where applicable.
  • SmartTag. We act as a controller for the parts we determine (for example, creating or associating Smart Accounts, anti-abuse, and service integrity). We act as a processor or service provider where we handle community-directed verification signals inside servers.

We are headquartered in Colorado, USA. We make our Services available in many locations worldwide, subject to local laws, platform rules, and applicable sanctions and export controls.

Sanctions and legal restrictions. The Services are subject to U.S. and other applicable sanctions, export controls, and trade laws. We may restrict, suspend, or disable access to some or all Services in certain jurisdictions or for certain users to comply with legal requirements.

If we are required to appoint an EU or UK representative under applicable law, we will publish that representative's details in an updated version of this Policy.

2) What we collect

2.1 Account, server, and contact information (you provide)

Email address, name or handle, organization, billing information (via payment processors); server identifiers and settings (such as Telegram group or channel IDs and Discord server IDs), roles, allowlists and denylists; support requests, feedback, and communications.

2.2 Platform identifiers (from Telegram and Discord with authorization)

Telegram user ID or handle; Discord user ID or handle; role and membership state; and admin permissions necessary to operate token gating and miniapps.

2.3 SmartTag data (when enabled by an admin; optional for members)

Smart Account (smart-contract wallet) address associated with you; onchain transaction metadata related to SmartTag activity (tips, rewards, sends, and withdrawals); and linked external withdrawal address or addresses you provide.

We do not collect your seed phrase or private keys.

Non-custodial Smart Accounts. SmartTag Smart Accounts are non-custodial smart-contract wallets. Collab.Land does not hold users' private keys and does not have unilateral ability to move funds without user-initiated actions through the Services.

Public blockchain notice. SmartTag activity occurs on public blockchains. Wallet addresses, balances, and transfers are observable by anyone. Public blockchain data is not controlled by Collab.Land and cannot be altered or deleted by us.

Canonical identity statement. Collab.Land does not publish, sell, or share any mapping between a person's Telegram or Discord identity and a SmartTag wallet address, and does not make such mappings public onchain. We do not link onchain wallet addresses to Telegram or Discord identities except as strictly necessary to operate SmartTag features you choose to use.

2.4 Usage and device data (collected automatically)

Log data such as IP address, timestamps, user agent, and device type; diagnostic and crash data; and product interaction events in Command Center.

2.5 Cookies and similar technologies (our sites and dashboards)

Essential cookies for login and session security; preference and analytics cookies where permitted or with consent. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Cookie banners and choices may vary by region to reflect local law.

2.6 Third-party sources

Payment processors (billing status, last four digits and card brand only; never full card numbers); anti-abuse, anti-spam, and fraud-prevention services; and approved third-party miniapps you choose to enable or use.

2.7 Public information we may anchor onchain (non-identifying)

When we publish data onchain, we limit it to non-identifying information used to make features verifiable.

What we may write onchain (examples):

  • Cryptographic commitments such as hashes or Merkle roots of information that was already publicly available
  • Aggregate counters or state with no member identifiers
  • Transaction or attestation markers needed to prove a feature executed, without personal fields

What we will not write onchain:

  • Telegram or Discord user IDs, handles, display names, emails, IP addresses, or device identifiers
  • Any mapping between a person's Telegram or Discord identity and a wallet address
  • Any data that makes a person reasonably identifiable

SmartTag smart accounts operate on public blockchains. We do not publish the mapping between a SmartTag wallet and a Telegram or Discord handle onchain.

3) Why we use data (purposes and legal bases)

We process data to provide and operate the Services, run SmartTag, support verifiable onchain features, prevent fraud and abuse, provide support, improve products using aggregated or de-identified analytics, handle billing and accounting, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use SmartTag onchain data for behavioral advertising. We do not engage in automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4) Disclosure of data

We may share information with:

  • Service providers and processors who perform services for us and must protect the data. We maintain a list of key subprocessors and will update this Policy or provide notice if that list materially changes where required by law.
  • Approved third-party miniapps you choose to enable or use, which are governed by their own policies.
  • Public blockchains. Onchain data is public by design. We do not write personal identifiers or wallet-to-handle mappings.
  • Legal and compliance recipients. To comply with law, enforce our terms, protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transaction. Where legally permitted and practicable, we will attempt to notify affected users or community admins before disclosure.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by CPRA.

5) Your choices

SmartTag is optional. Cookies can be managed through browser settings and our cookie banner where applicable. Community admins control miniapps; you choose whether to interact with them.

6) Retention

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described, subject to legal obligations and holds. Blockchain data may persist indefinitely outside our control.

7) Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to risk. No system is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your Telegram and Discord accounts, devices, and any external wallets you use.

8) International transfers

We may process data in the United States and other countries and use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers where required.

9) Your rights

You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or port your data depending on your location. We cannot delete or alter public blockchain data but can delete or de-link internal records where feasible and lawful.

10) Children

Our Services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors and can disable accounts or delete internal records where feasible.

11) Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We honor Global Privacy Control signals for site-level choices where required by law. GPC does not affect onchain activity.

12) Payments

Payments are handled by third-party processors. We do not store full card numbers.

13) Third-party services and links

Third-party services surfaced through the Services are governed by their own privacy policies.

14) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy and will post the updated version with a new effective date.

17) SmartTag and public blockchain: key privacy facts
